Todos já sabiam que Strokes se reuniria em fevereiro deste ano para um novo álbum. Mas nada melhor que um e-mail do Ryan Gentles para reforçar:

"Plans underway for our 4th studio album!
WORK BEGINS ON 4th ALBUM PLANS
Hi everyone,just dropping a line to stay in touch and update you on some news...i'll start with the BIG NEWS....after a long and much needed hibernation period that saw many of the band's various other musical projects emerge, we're pleased to announce that The Strokes are now all back hard at work in their NYC space on writing and rehearsing new material for a 4th full-length album, the first since 2006's "First Impressions of Earth".no recording studio time has been booked yet, as they sketch out the blue-prints of new songs and fine tune plans in their rehearsal space, but it will undoubtedly be all mapped out and etched in stone at some point in the not-too-distant future. i wish i could tell you that this DEFINITELY meant we can expect an album release date before the end of 2009, but it's just too soon to speculate on that for sure yet. one way or another.... suffice to say, the work has begun!"

Como Te Llama?

O segundo álbum de Albert Hammond Jr., ‘Como Te Llama?’ já tem data de lançamento: 8 de julho.
Gravado no fim do ano passado, em Nova Iorque, o álbum contou com a banda que o acompanhou na turnê de ‘Yours To Kepp’ – Matt Romano, Marc Philippe Eskenazi e Josh Lattanzi – e teve a participação de Sean Lennon, que tocou piano em 'Spooky Couch'. Foi produzido por Albert, Rommano e Gus Oberg.

Novo disco dos strokes!

Apesar de não ser muito concreta a informação, o Nikolai deixou no site dos Strokes (onde tem 'The Band' e clicamos no Nikolai):



"I’m still looking very forward to a fourth album release. We just need to work out a few technical kinks…It’s been a long break but much needed for us to remain together as a productive band.”
- “Gostaria de dizer que eu ainda estou muito ansioso para o lançamento de um quarto álbum”. Disse também que o tempo em que ficaram parados foi necessário para continuarem sendo uma banda produtiva, e que, para não ficar 'completamente insano' está trabalhando em novas músicas (covers também), e estas ele vai postar no site oficial em breve.

E o Albert está a um passo de lançar Como Te Llama, o segundo disco solo dele que há de sair ainda este ano, e que terá treze faixas.
